Re: A GREAT Week For Obama (none / 0)

Does this diary do anything to further the cause of unity? Remember it's only a great week for Obama, if we have a united democratic party. I would suggest that from here on in, before we post anything, we should ask ourselves, is this post helping the cause of unity? And only post it, if you can answer yourself with a yes.

I don't think this diary does anything to hurt the coming together of supporters. Unless we're sensitive about causing offense to the point where we can't even politely discuss what we think of current events, without a single negative mention of Sen. Clinton or her supporters.

Re: A GREAT Week For Obama (2.00 / 1)

Good point, but I figured this was a pro-Obama diary rather than an anti-Clinton one. And really, this is an important takeaway this week - Obama passed the GE tryout with flying colors.

Obama is almost certainly going to be the nominee to run for president from the Democratic party.  So if we democrats are to unify, it's going to have be behind Sen. Obama.  So I would say, yes, this post does help the cause of unity.

Almost certainly? I'd say it is a certainty. Hence I don't see how this diary helps bring about unity, and, frankly, I don't think you do either.
